Love your local library

The La Cienega Valley Library is 100% volunteer-run and relies on community support to fund our connectivity, supplies, and book collection.

Please consider a donation today. We are currently seeking sponsors for our wi-fi subscription—we need $2,500 for the year to cover our costs while we apply for a discounted library rate. Can you help?

We are awaiting approval of our 501(c)3 application and hope that donations to the library will soon be tax deductible.

Build Our Collection

We love community donations to our growing book collection! We are especially looking for books in these categories:

  • Books published in the last 5 years

  • Critically acclaimed or bestselling books

  • New or good-condition editions of classic books

  • Children’s picture books, board books, and I-Can-Read books

  • Current how-to books on sustainability, gardening, water, etc.

  • Books on New Mexico history and/or culture

  • Books in Spanish

Books we cannot currently accept:

  • Mass media (small format) paperbacks

  • Books in bad condition (except for books on NM history or culture, which we’ll take in any condition)

  • Textbooks

  • Nonfiction books that are obviously dated

  • Books in languages other than English or Spanish

Drop off book donations any time the library is open, or email us if you want to ask about a larger book donation.
